Located in Spencer, Indiana, this incredible general store has withstood the test of time.
Cataract General Store is one of the oldest general stores in the Hoosier state, first opening its doors in 1860.
Throughout its 150+ years, this general store has changed owners, but still remains a place where locals and visitors can buy an assortment of supplies. Visitors famously came from across the state to try this store's infamous pickles, moon pies, and 8 ounce glass Coca Cola bottles, all of which can still be found inside these historic doors.

Little has changed about the store's exterior in the past 150 years, though new signage has been added.

A new outdoor library has also been constructed to match the general store and help encourage reading in Spencer.
