What are some of the best parks around Indianapolis?  

You may be wondering, "What are some state parks near me?" Indianapolis might be the largest city in Indiana, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have pockets of natural beauty everywhere. Some of its most beautiful features are its awesome parks, and there are plenty to go around. Some of the most popular parks in Indianapolis include:

  • Eagle Creek Park, on 56th Street, which is great for hikers and biking as well. There’s lots of room and plenty of things to do and see!
  • Another much-beloved park is White River State Park, which is an urban park downtown. It’s situated along the White River and encompasses 267 acres.
  • We also love Holliday Park, which is super interesting in the sense that there are legitimate ruins here (of what? We guess you’ll have to find out), and it’s a ridiculously fascinating place to explore. There are remnants of an old amusement park, there, too!
  • Broad Ripple Park is another popular option.  

 

What are the best hiking trails in Indianapolis?
