Here are some of the top overlooks in Illinois. 1. Starved Rock State Park (Oglesby) PunkToad/Flickr With canyons and waterfalls, there are loads of scenic places to look. But this view of the Illinois River is unparalleled. 2. Mississippi Palisades State Park (Savanna) CinCool/Flickr Above the mighty Mississippi stands these massive bluffs. They afford you an amazing view of the river. 3. Grand View Drive (Peoria) Tripp/Flickr This was once called the world's most beautiful drive. There is very little walking even involved. 4.
