Hawaii’s Incredible Milkshake Bar Is What Dreams Are Made Of

The Hawaiian Islands are known for a plethora of phenomenal sweet treats, from Matsumoto’s Shave Ice and ice cream mochi from Bubbie’s to Leonard’s malasadas and haupia pie from Ted’s Bakery. What Hawaii wasn’t known for, however, are their milkshakes… that is, until Volcano Shakes, opened up shop last year. The over-the-top milkshakes served here are surely what your childhood sweet tooth dreams are made of, and if you have yet to visit Volcano Shakes, you’re 100 percent missing out on not only an epic dessert sure to give you a sugar rush – but a unique experience as well.

Volcano Shakes’ is located at 2400 Koa Avenue in Waikiki and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. You won’t currently find online ordering available on their website, but wait times are nothing like they used to be at the former location – the new + improved store is much larger and the team has expanded to accommodate the demand for these scrumptious milkshakes.
