Georgia is stunning. We’ve been saying it all along. The weather, the sunsets, the natural beauty it exudes…you just can’t find a better place to live. Which unfortunately means that if you do live in Georgia, you’re pretty much ruined for life. Nowhere else in the country is going to compare to what you get when you live in the Peach State. Check out a few of our reason why Georgia spoils you…..for life.
1. Nothing beats a Georgia sunset.
The way you can watch as the sun totally and completely submerges underneath the horizon is breathtaking...
2. Better yet, nothing beats a Georgia sunrise.
...but then you can watch as the hues of color ignite the Georgia sky as the sun welcomes another beautiful day.
3. Where else will you be able to get homemade grits this tasty?
It's true. Georgia is known for their grits. In fact, it's the state prepared food. You just can't get grits that taste as good as Georgia grits. That's a fact.
4. You won't be able to see seven states at one time from anywhere else.
Rock City is on Lookout Mountain in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. It is said that from the top of Lover's Leap, right by the waterfall, you can see seven states by looking in every direction.
5. Tailgating any other team except UGA just doesn't feel the same.
Nothing can compare to the energy and enthusiasm that University of Georgia fans create. Attending a football game electrifies you, and ruins you're ability to be a fan of any other team for the rest of life.
6. Hiking for hours and getting lost in nature.
Georgia has so many different hiking and nature trails, it's easy to get lost in the beauty. Not many other states can offer the same vantage points, waterfalls, and scenic hiking that Georgia does.
7. Nobody else will approach you and ask, verbatim, "What'll ya have?"
One of the most iconic restaurants in all of Atlanta, The Varsity, is still the largest drive-in fast food restaurant in the world. You'll leave already craving their burgers and fries.
8. You can spend the day in the mountains, then watch a sunset on the beach.
There aren't many places in the country where you can spend the morning deep in the forest, then drive east to the beach to catch a beautiful, setting sun.
9. The Pecan Pie. THE PECAN PIE.
Everyone in Georgia knows exactly what fresh pecans taste like, primarily because Georgia is one of the top producers of this thick, delicious nut. Eating a slice of pecan pie in Georgia will definitely ruin pecan pie eaten anywhere else.
10. What other state has the history that Georgia does?
Georgia is overflowing with rich, valuable history. A history which makes this country exactly what it is, and makes Georgians proud to be residents.
We want to hear it from you: How has Georgia ruined you for life? Maybe it’s seeing the downtown Atlanta skyline every day on your commute, or the fact that you can’t quite find Southern hospitality anywhere else. Let us know!
