Georgia is known for its incredible low cost-of-living, beautiful weather and an opportunistic job market. If you’re willing to drive out a little bit to a bigger city for a job, you can live pretty well in the small towns and suburbs of Georgia. Compared to some high-cost cities in the rest of the country, Georgia has them beat! Here are 10 towns in Georgia that take the least of your money:
According to Area Vibes, Matthews is 27.1% cheaper than the rest of Georgia and 31.1% cheaper than the entire country! The median home price here is $18 K.
Satilla is an unincorporated town in Jeff Davis County, which is pictured here. The cost of living in Satilla is a quarter cheaper than Georgia and almost a third cheaper than the country. Satilla is also one of Georgia's smallest towns, with more than 400 residents.
Jacksonville's cost of living is 24.4% less than Georgia overall and 28.6% cheaper than the rest of the country. The median home price is $28,800. The city hall of Jacksonville is pictured above.
Little Ellenton has a cost of living that is 23.2% less than the rest of Georgia and 27.4% less than the entire country. The median home price here is $32,900.
Keysville is affordable and quite beautiful. It's located in Burke and Jefferson Counties and has a population of a little more than 300 residents. The cost of living here is 23% less than the state and 27.2% less than the country overall.
Located about 30-40 miles away from Grovetown and Evans, Sharon is sure to be beautiful as well. The cost of living here is 22% less than the state and 26.2% less than the country overall.
Epworth is another gorgeous town with a cost of living that is 21.4% cheaper than Georgia and 25.7% cheaper than the country on average. The median home price here is $37,900.
Dooling is a tiny town, with 150 people in Dooly County. The cost of living is 21% less than the state and 25.3% less than the country. On top of A+ weather, the median home price is $25 K.
Last on our list is Bluffton, where its 20.8% cheaper to live here than the rest of the state and 25.1% less than the country. Their median home price is $42,900.
