Georgia and peaches are synonymous with one another. Georgia has had a long-standing tradition with peaches since the 19th century, when the first commercial production occurred. In 2013, Georgia produced over 35 thousand tons of peaches.
This summer has been especially hot, with a few days being over 100 degrees! It's no surprise that Georgia is known for its scorching weather!

These folks in Augusta, GA definitely have a southern accent. Georgia is known for its distinct dialect. Did you know that a southern accent is the largest dialect in the country? Not only that, it's rated as the most attractive accent as well!

A red dirt road in Comer, GA is common in Georgia. When people think of Georgia, they think of country roads and farmland. And while that's not all we have to offer, we definitely have them!
What comes along with farmland? Farm animals! Georgia is known to have cows and horses. It's common to ride down the street and see fields of cows, horses, and pigs. Growing up in Henry County, I even lived near a field of llamas!
Baseball is a favorite sport in Georgia, so it's no surprise that the Atlanta Braves are a common theme with Georgia.

Another marker of academic excellence is GA Tech, or the Georgia Institute of Technology. It's famous for their amazing football team, and also for their academic rigor. They graduate some of the best engineers in the country!
Great southern food and Georgia can be spoken in the same breath. Just about on every street corner, you can find a mom n' pop spot that will serve you up a plate of good southern comfort!
The capital of our great state--Atlanta is a place where many people migrate to, and where many a tourist go. There's so many job opportunities and schools in this great city. It's also very multicultural, and brings a global perspective to the state of Georgia.

Savannah is an upscale vacation spot and an old-fashioned Georgia tradition all wrapped up in one. It's beauty cannot be matched, and it hosts some of the oldest and historical buildings in the country. Savannah definitely makes Georgia a better place.
