This Remote Restaurant In Florida Will Take You A Million Miles Away From Everything
If you’re looking for a special dining experience, look no further. Latitudes Sunset Key not only offers incredible cuisine, it’s located on a private island with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Latitudes is secluded, but it's no secret: It was named Key West's Best Overall Restaurant of 2016 by Open Table.
To reach the restaurant, you'll have to take this short ferry ride (about 10 minutes), which departs from The Westin Key West Resort & Marina.
Reservations are a must, because you can not dine here without one. A reservation also gets you a spot on the ferry.
This is one of the most romantic restaurants in Florida, especially if you come for dinner during one of the Keys' famous sunsets.
If you can't quite handle the dinner prices, Latitudes is also open for lunch, when the menu is almost half as expensive, but still delicious.
The lunch menu is full of classic salads and sandwiches, perfectly prepared, with a bit of a Caribbean flair. Key West Fish Tacos or Warm Gorganzola Steak Salad, anyone?
Dinner is a bit more luxurious, with upscale standards like surf and turf, or more exotic options like wagyu beef skirt steak and saffron-crusted black grouper.
The restaurant's interior is gorgeous, but if weather permits, you simply have to sit outside and watch the sun slip slowly from the sky.
There's plenty of seating right on the sand with panoramic views of one of the most beautiful places not just in Florida, but in the world.
