Here are a few of my favorite reasons to love Florida: 1. Our state parks are more picturesque. Flickr/Bruce Bouley Florida has hundreds of state, county and national parks, including some of the best in the country. 2. The same goes for our beaches. Flickr/Olin Gilbert 3. We have real hidden treasure. Flickr/Erik (HASH) Hersman You don't have to win the lotto to become an instant millionaire. There's real shipwrecked treasure to be found in Florida, and there's plenty that hasn't been discovered. 4. Our landmarks are weirder. We have some of the oldest and loveliest trees. Pictured is Eden Gardens State Park in Northwest Florida. 6. Our food is more mouth-watering. We have some outstanding architecture. Flickr/Jasperdo From the art deco buildings of Miami Beach to the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright's work in one place at Florida Southern College, Florida is full of awesome architecture. Florida has long attracted tourists and snowbirds, and there are plenty of impressive Victorian homes and buildings, as well. 8. Our theme parks are superior. Our small towns are more interesting. Flickr/Lyndi & Jason There's Cassadaga, the Psychic Capital of the World, Tarpon Springs, a Greek community in Pinellas County, and the Amish and Mennonite community of Pinecraft in Sarasota, just to name a few.
