Every year Corn Maze in the Plains creates a new and different corn maze to get lost in. As you make your way through the maze, you will come across different stations that asks a challenge question or puzzle. If you answer the question correctly, you will get direction to the next station and if you get the question wrong, you are on your own! This is one of the best mazes in the DC area.
2. Cox Farms - 15621 Braddock Rd. Centreville, VA 20120
The Cornnundrum and the Cornnightmare at Cox Farms aren’t exactly corn mazes but they are fun (and spooky) walks through corn mazes. During the day the Cornundrum is a fun adventure for children where kids and adults can wander through the winding path and encounter pirates, caves, jungles and more. In the evening, it becomes the much creepier Cornnightmare.
3. Montpelier Farms - 1720 Crain Highway N., Upper Marlboro MD 20774
This year’s corn maze at Montpelier Farms is called “Down on the Farm” as a tribute to the owner and farmer of Montpelier Farms, Mike Dunn who passed away last year. Down on the Farm is seven acres of corn maze to explore and for little adventurers, there is “Jack and the Cornstalk” maze which features storyboards throughout it.
4. Summers Farm - 5620 Butterfly Lane Frederick, MD 21703
Summers Farm is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and their 12 acre corn maze is not to be missed during the celebration. Last year their corn maze was dedicated to Taylor Swift. This year, the theme is the Baltimore Orioles.
5. Belvedere Plantation - 1410 Belvedere Dr. Fredericksburg, VA 22408
The Belvedere Plantation corn maze has been a local favorite for 30 years. You can explore the corn maze multiple times with the purchase of one ticket, take a hayride or relax in front of the bonfire. They also have a mini corn maze that is more child friendly.
6. Liberty Mills Farm - 9166 Liberty Mills Road, Somerset VA 22972
The corn maze at Liberty Mills Farm is the biggest maze in Virginia with eight miles of trails over 25 acres. It’s divided into four trails of varying difficulties so it’s perfect for all ages!
7. Temple Hall Farm 15855 Limestone School Road Leesburg, VA 20176
Just outside of Leesburg, Temple Hall Farm is one of the bigger corn mazes in the area at 24 acres. There are also other attractions like pumpkin launching games, pig races and a paintball gallery.
8. Lawyer’s Winterbrook Farms - 13002 Creagerstown Road, Thurmont MD 21788
Lawyer’s Farm offers a wide range of family friendly attractions including a hay fort, go-cart speedway, outdoor movies and four corn mazes within one giant corn maze. There are a series of checkpoints indicated on your map of the maze and the goal is find all of the check points.
9. Wayside Farm Fun - 5273 Harry Byrd Hwy, Berryville, VA 22611
Right along the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wayside Farm is a beautiful location for a corn maze. This year’s corn maze has football theme at Wayside Farm! In addition to corn maze fun, you can enjoy hayrides, slides, playgrounds and the best pumpkins in the land!
10. Bowles Farm - 22880 Budds Creek Rd, Clements, MD 20624
“It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!” Bowles Farm’s corn maze pays homage to the 50th anniversary of Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
11. Greenstreet Gardens - 391 Bay Front Rd W
Lothian, MD 20711
The corn maze at Greenstreet Gardens is only five acres so it’s a bit easier and less time-consuming then some of the others on our list and there is a smaller Straw Bale Maze for little ones. Greenstreet Gardens offers many other activities like slides and hayrides.
