One of the most hidden dining spots in the state, Marley’s Cafe is located on an island just off the city’s riverbank. That’s right! Essex Island Marina is home to a Jamaican island paradise. It’s an incredibly unique experience that you won’t want to miss. The restaurant is only open from Fourth of July weekend to the end of October so hurry over before the season ends. They serve breakfast and lunch and it’s always delicious. Check it out:

Marley's Cafe is a beach house experience that won't break the bank. At night, little white lights line the roof and umbrellas, creating a magical evening you're sure to enjoy. This waterfront spot is nothing short of enchanting.

Inside you'll find a bright, beach themed space, though most visitors opt to stay outdoors. Especially on those warm summer days with light breezes. You'll feel like you're on vacation.

But one of the biggest perks is how you get there. No need to have a boat of your own, the restaurant provides a 6 passenger ferry to get you across the water. It's a quick ride, taking roughly 1 minute, but it will make you feel like you've discovered a secret paradise.
