Feeling cold and tired of the Connecticut winter weather? We have the perfect thing to warm you up. Mark your calendars now, the 15th Annual Cabin Fever Festival & Charity Clam Chowder Cook-off is quickly approaching and you are going to want to take part in this epic culinary event.

The clam chowder cook-off will take place in Old Mistik Village on Saturday, February 24th. Taste the delicious creations between noon and 4:00 p.m.

Many local caterers and restaurants will dish up their signature chowders from the warmth of the shops at the village. Not only are the chefs battling for the title of Best Chowder, they are helping raise money for charity.

Chowder tickets are $1 each or 10 for $12. One ticket purchases a 3 oz. cup of chowder. All proceeds from the event go to Always Home, a local organization that helps prevent homelessness.

A team of judges will name the winners in three categories: Most Creative Chowder, Heartiest Chowder, and Best Use of Regional Ingredients. The public will decide who wins the prized title of People's Choice Award for the Best Chowder.
