Over in the 400 block of Broadway in Denver, there’s a magical world that can be likened to J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth sprinkled with a smattering of fairy dust.

The Wizard’s Chest, now a massive toy store, is an institution in Denver, having magically appeared at least a generation ago, in 1983.

In its humble outset, The Wizard’s Chest lived in a tiny enchanted space of only 850 square feet and grew to become Denver’s go-to place for costumes of all sorts. But with enough love and adoration all little things grow, and so did The Wizard’s Chest.

It's now a colossal 8,000-square foot toy store that's so much more than just a costume store, it's certain to bring out the inner child in anyone.
