Opened in 1912, the Argo Gold Mine and Mill was originally built as a means of draining nearby ores. The mill was closed from 1943-1976 and was then purchased and reopened as a place for tourists to learn more about Colorado's gold mining history. Today, guests can not only tour the premises, but pan for real gold!
