The One Enchanting Place In Colorado That Must Go On Your Bucket List Immediately
If I had to think of one word to describe Colorado, it would have to be
enchanting… wouldn’t you agree? No matter your whereabouts in the state, you are guaranteed to find something beautiful and charming to gaze upon. Today we are letting you know about one of the most enchanting, yet often overlooked places in the state, which just so happens to be Colorado’s rolling Eastern Plains.
Located along the High Plains, the Eastern Plains of Colorado are made up of numerous hills, canyons, buttes, forests, and even lakes.
Because of its hot and dry summers and cold and dry winters, the Eastern Plains are prone to receiving severe and jaw-dropping weather, including numerous tornadoes, thunderstorms, and blizzards.
Dare we say that these storms are often gorgeous?
In addition to its unique climate, the Eastern Plains are also home to a number of incredible natural wonders, including the colorful Paint Mines...
The Paint Mines Interpretive Park is located in Calhan.
The Pawnee Buttes are located inside of Weld County's Pawnee National Grassland.
...and Comanche National Grassland.
Comanche National Grassland is located in southeast Colorado.
As someone who grew up on the Eastern Plains, I can also vouch for the out-of-this-world nighttime skies that really are this clear and pristine!
