The Mountain Coaster Near Denver That Will Take You On The Ride Of A Lifetime
Are you sick and tired of the roller coasters at Elitches and Lakeside? Sure, they are great the first few times, but you have reached the point where you need something new and exciting, right? Don’t despair; just make a trip to the epic Glenwood Caverns to experience this epic Alpine Coaster:
Advertised as being the first alpine coaster in the country, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park's Alpine Coaster is quite possibly one of the most unique thrill rides in the state!
Located within the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, the Alpine Coaster is the first of its kind that allows thrill-seekers to choose their speed, ride alone (or with a friend), and experience the fun of an alpine slide without the fear of flying off.
Named one of the 10 Best Roller-coaster Rides of Your Life by USA TODAY’s 10 Best, this year-round coaster not only offers a wild ride with a steep 3,400 foot descent, but the opportunity to also sit back and enjoy the scenic view whilst coasting along the rails.
Does the thought of flying down a hill at potentially high speeds make you nervous? Don't let it, as "Unlike typical alpine slides, you can’t fall out of the Alpine Coaster. The Coaster is affixed to its track, can make hair-pin turns, and it can operate year-round due to its track system."
A waiver must also be signed by someone over the age of 18.
Ready to see the Alpine Coaster in action? Watch this:
