Wildfires Are Raging Through Colorado And Are Devastating Parts Of The State

Fires are raging across northeastern Colorado, and efforts to contain the blaze are falling short.

Despite the efforts of at least 70 firefighters, the massive wildfire has scorched approximately 30,000 acres since it began Monday morning near the town of Proctor. Drought conditions and high winds have contributed to the size and ferocity of the blaze.

The fire is still burning its way across the northeastern corner of the state, and officials predict that it will take a week or more to get the flames under control.
