Aside from all of the blooming trees and flowers, pretty pastels, and new life all around, my favorite part of spring would have to be all of the sweet fragrances that fill the Colorado air! If the sight and smell of flowers makes you positively giddy, you are going to go crazy for this Colorado lavender festival that is unlike any other:
You know the Western Slope for its dramatic mesas, juicy peaches, and tantalizing wines...
...but did you know that this must-visit area is also so rich in lovely lavender that they have a festival just for it?!
Taking place this summer is the Colorado Lavender Festival, which invites you to take in the peaceful setting of Western Colorado, take a deep breath, and smell the fragrant lavender flowers that grow in high altitude Rocky Mountain farms.
Spanning several communities, there is so much more to love about this unique festival than just the flowers, including an array of fabulous vendors...
...delicious food and wine...
...hands-on exhibits and demonstrations...
...tours, art, music, and so much more!
The 2018 Colorado Annual Lavender Festival takes place June 29th through July 1st.
