Take This Gorgeous Fall Foliage Road Trip To See Arkansas Like Never Before

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready for fall to get here. It isn’t the coziness of a chilly evening spent under a blanket with a decaf pumpkin spice latte in hand that appeals to me, it’s looking out in my back yard and seeing the maples and the oaks on fire with fall color. It’s visiting my grandmother’s house and seeing the freshly planted mums. And, most of all, it’s taking my favorite lonesome highway drive at the peak of fall color. I’ve included that very drive on this gorgeous fall foliage road trip so that we can all benefit from my yearly habit.

This road trip takes you from the breathtaking Ouachitas into the unsurpassed beauty of the Ozarks. J.B. Weisenfels
J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
