It’s an irrefutable fact that Arkansans are awesome, of course, but it’s nice to take an inventory sometimes to remember what exactly makes us so awesome. Here you’re going to find 10 indisputable things that make Arkansans incredible. They’re just a few of the things that we do best, but boy is it an impressive array of habits and talents.
The only crop that Arkansas doesn’t produce on a pretty large scale is citrus. When it comes to growing food, you’d be hard pressed to find a state that produces more. That is especially true when it comes to rice.
They’re everywhere in the Natural State, and it’s not just because of excellent tomatoes. Arkansans love to spend time outdoors, after all.

Hunting and fishing aren’t just lovely pastimes in the Natural State, they’re part of our frontier registry. I’ve heard over and over again that Arkansas is the only state that could be entirely self-sufficient, and I don’t have a doubt in my mind about it, partly because we can feed ourselves.

Family is especially important to us in these parts. Arkansans love to spend time with our loved ones for good reason, Arkansas families are close-knit and awesome.
If you didn’t grow up with a grandma canning vegetables in the kitchen or with some unusual holiday tradition, I’ve got to say I’m pretty surprised. Family bonds run strong in the Natural State, and so do the traditions that go along with them.
