Is it bad that I’m shocked Alaska has some surprisingly great ethnic food? I understand us having awesome seafood and really amazing breweries, but having ethnic food that’s this good is just icing on the cake. If you like Russian dumplings, crazy good jambalaya, or a bowl of curry goodness straight from the Himalayas, then Alaska is the place for you.

It's hard to miss this bright pink house in Downtown Anchorage. Their food is even more spectacular than the paint job! If you've never had a bowl of jambalaya with cornbread then you're missing out. GO. HERE. NOW.
This incredible Greek Restaurant in Downtown Fairbanks will have you coming back time and time again. Their bar is great and their lamb is mouthwatering.
If you're out on the town in Sitka and looking for an amazing place to grab a bite, look no further than the Rans Net cart. Their dumplings will have you coming back the next day without fail.
After a long day exploring Denali National Park, make sure you stop in at the Thai and Chinese Food Cart on your way home. Their yellow curry is my all time favorite!
Are you ready for the BEST Indian food in Anchorage? Bombay Deluxe may look like it leaves something to be desired but it is ALL THERE. Their appetizers while you wait are even mouth-watering, who wants some basmati rice and naan?!
I don't mean to be biased here, but Yak and Yeti is my favorite place to eat in Anchorage. After a long afternoon shopping at Title Wave Books and REI, Yak and Yeti is the number one spot for a meal. Their curry is great, but their chicken masala will make anyone happy to go back for seconds. And don't forget to try their freshly baked desserts, too!
Starfire is possibly the best Thai restaurant in Skagway. If you're in the area, but not hungry, stop in to try their chai iced tea. It's wayyyy better than Starbucks.
Another great Thai place in Alaska, only Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine is in Fairbanks. It's got the best atmosphere and they even use fresh, locally grown ingredients as often as possible. If you happen to stop in, I advise you try the Pad Prew Wan, it's spicy, sweet, and perfect for warming you up on a cold Alaskan evening!
