Visit Cordova, the beautiful town on the Prince William Sound, and take a trip to the Childs Glacier. When you arrive in town, you can explore the options available as you can only get to the area by boat or helicopter. But since there are no roads from the rest of Alaska to Cordova, it’s simply par for the course in this area. There are shuttle services to visit the Childs Glacier and campground. There are also guided tours either by boat or helicopter available. This is one of the most fun, exciting day trips in the area. The constant crashing of ice chunks into the sea makes for a unique and thrilling adventure to a huge glacier in Alaska.
