Here Are the 9 Best Places To Go Sled Riding In Alaska This Winter

Looking to get outside? What better way to do that than with the adrenaline rush of sledding down a steep hill at max speed? Sledding is also a great way to get the kids out of the house and have some serious fun. Plus it’s pretty inexpensive, if not completely free! If you don’t have a sled you can easily use a garbage can lid or any other make-shift device found in your nearby garage 🙂

Check out some of the best sled hills around the cities of Alaska… but remember, always be safe and never trespass. Sledding can be dangerous, boys and girls.

  1. Arctic Valley Sled Hill

And finally I’ve saved the best for last, the Arctic Valley Sled Hill. After the new road was punched in, the old road became a sledders paradise. Don’t believe me? Just watch the video. Who wouldn’t love miles of fast downhill sledding? Please be safe as sledding can be very dangerous.

Casea Peterson
Casea Peterson grew up archery hunting, fishing, and camping throughout the Pacific Northwest. Motivated by her love for the outdoors she moved to Alaska to attend school and to spend time exploring the last frontier. If she doesn’t have a pen in hand or her nose in a book, she can be found out on a lake or up in the woods around a fire with friends.
