Timberline Atop Mount Roberts is accessed by the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. The tramway opened in 1996 and operates May through September, taking visitors up the mountain for a beautiful view, or to dine at the restaurant.
The tram is one of the most vertical tramways in the world and soars 1800 feet up the mountain in a smooth, easy glide. Tramway cars are ADA accessible and won the Governor’s Award for facility accessibility design.
