How long is the Lookout Mountain Parkway in Alabama?  

The Lookout Mountain Parkway is quite impressive, actually, spanning across three states and 93 miles. Should you choose to drive the entire thing, you’ll begin in Gadsden, Alabama, and you’ll end up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You’ll encounter some incredible (and diverse) landscapes along the way, like waterfalls, scenic vistas, canyons, different small towns, and so much more. It’s the perfect drive if you hope to kill an afternoon, or you can make a whole weekend out of it and turn it into a road trip, which sounds pretty epic to us! What are some nice Alabama byways to drive? 

Alabama is a beautiful state, and we’ve got the byways to prove it! Some of our favorite scenic Alabama byways include the breathtaking Coastal Connection Scenic Byway, which is as incredible as it sounds; it takes you on an adventure across many of our most picture-esque beaches. The Talladega Scenic Drive takes you to the tallest point in the state, so you know the views are bound to be amazing! The Appalachian Highlands Scenic Byway is another favorite that will also take you to some of the most amazingly perfect Alabama landscapes you’ll ever see.  

What are the most beautiful drives in Alabama? 

There are so much more than just the drives we’ve already mentioned here! If you’re a fan of Native American history, we recommend a drive on the Tensaw Parkway (also known as the State Highway 225 corridor). We also really love the amazing drive along the Black Warrior River you’ll have if you take the Black Warrior River Scenic Byway. You’ll also likely love the Natchez Trace Parkway, and the Black Belt Nature and Heritage Trail is second to none. Alabama is full of awe-inspiring drives that you’re bound to adore.
