Taqueria El Cazador is one of the best places in Huntsville to get authentic Mexican cuisine, and it's also located inside a converted school bus. Customers simply enter the bus to give their order. This cozy cafe features Southern-inspired cuisine at its finest, using only the freshest ingredients. Shrimp & Grits is one of their signature menu items, and it's amazing. The Fig Tree is one of Birmingham's true hidden gems. (3160 Cahaba Heights Rd)
Since 2008, this local BBQ joint has been serving up the best Texas-style barbecue, along with delicious side dishes. Note: Chuck Wagon BBQ isn't open during the weekend, so if you're in the Madison area and craving this Southern favorite, you'll have to visit during a weekday. (8982 Madison Blvd)
